Epsom Oaks - 2006 Result

Ballydoyle trainer, Aidan O’Brien saddled his third winner of the Vodafone Oaks when Alexandrova romped home six lengths clear of her rivals. Jockey, Kieran Fallon was overjoyed with her performance but had said several times before the race that she was the one to be on. She went off 9-4 favourite in the Oaks betting and although the race was quite slow run, Alexandrova was kept handy and just took the race by storm in the last three furlongs. She finished well clear of John Best’s Rising Cross with Short Skirt staying on in third place.
