Epsom Oaks - 2007 Result

Henry Cecil was the happiest man at Epsom when Light Shift gave him his eighth Oaks success after holding off a strong run from the Aiden O’Brien trained, Peeping Fawn. Strangely enough it was Cecil’s other runner, Passage Of Time that went off favourite, but she finished down the field after a disappointing run. For winning jockey, Ted Durcan it was his first Oaks success and he had to be applauded for riding a brilliant race where he had the moves of all the others covered and was able to get another gear out of the horse when it mattered the most.
