Epsom Oaks Betting

Epsom Oaks betting markets tend to become busy at the completion of the early season Guineas Classics at Newmarket. As a result of winning the 2011 1,000 Guineas Blue Bunting has been installed as the bookies favourite for this year's Oaks.

There are other races that most punters view as Oaks trials, including the Musidora Stakes, where there will be plenty of Epsom Oaks runners participating. The Musidora has produced a host of Epsom Oaks winners over the years so keep an eye out on the 2011 winner Joviality.

Another trial races that should be paid close consideration are the Lingfield Oaks Trial, The Pretty Polly Stakes, the Cheshire Oaks and the Fred Darling Stakes. Particular attention is also drawn to the Irish 1,000 Guineas, which has produced two Epsom Oaks winners of recent times in 1998 and 2001, with Shatoushe and Imagine, both of which were trained by top trainer, Aiden O’Brien and ridden by top jockey, Mick Kinane.
